Sweat Guard Antiperspirant

About Sweat Guard Antiperspirant

Sweat Guard Antiperspirant is a maximum-strength antiperspirant with clinical strength. It is recommended for those who have excessive sweating conditions. It usually helps stop sweating in the affected areas for up to 7 days.

How does Sweat Guard work?

Sweat Guard Antiperspirant contains 20% Aluminium Chloride, which acts as a barrier to the externals of the sweat glands. This results in preventing the sweat from passing to the skin. Aluminum chloride helps prevent unpleasant smells, as it inhibits bacteria.

What areas of the body can Sweat Guard Antiperspirant apply to?

Sweat Guard Dab-on can apply to areas with excessive sweating, such as underarms, face, scalp, hands, feet, intimate areas, and torso.

Excessive Sweating/Hyperhidrosis

On average, most people produce around 1 liter of sweat daily. Most of it evaporates from our skin, so we don’t feel it. Factors that can make us sweat include exercise, stress, intense emotions, illness, fever, and reactions to medications or surgery. Women sweat more during pregnancy or menopause. Sweating heavily without a logical reason could mean that the person may experience excessive sweating. This is when the person continues to sweat a lot, even when not active.

Excessive sweating or hyperhidrosis is caused by the stimulation of the sweat glands by nerve endings, which descend from higher centers in the brain. These nerve endings respond to emotional stresses, such as intimate social situations, public speaking, physical stresses, and increased body temperature that comes with exercise or hot, humid weather.

What is an Antiperspirant?

Antiperspirants help prevent sweating. They differ from deodorants, which only mask body odor. Antiperspirants prevent sweat and also keep you smelling fresh. They contain active ingredients called aluminum salts, which dissolve into the moisture on the skin’s surface. The salts sit on top of the sweat glands, reducing the sweat they release. Many antiperspirants contain alcohol, which helps them dry faster and produces a pleasant cooling sensation. All the ingredients used in antiperspirants are safe.

About Sweat

It’s normal to sweat. We sweat to keep our bodies cool. The brain signals millions of sweat glands, telling them to release sweat. As the sweat evaporates from the skin, it lowers the body’s temperature.

People Sweat from Two Sweat glands:

  • Eccrine Glands: Mainly cool us down. The male Eccrine glands are more active than the female ones, so men sweat more overall.
  • The Apocrine Glands: These are larger and more active while exercising.

What makes people sweat?

Several factors contribute to sweating. They include physical activity, heat, stress and powerful emotions, spicy food, illness, and taking medication. Women sweat more when they are pregnant and during menopause.

Disadvantages of antiperspirant spray bottles

  • The applied amount cannot be regulated and could lead to over-application, as the amount required for the application isn’t feasible to determine.
  • The fluid may accidentally get into the eyes or inadvertently inhaled.

In addition, professionals advise that antiperspirants that contain aluminum chloride be used in plastic bottles to prevent the antiperspirant liquid from being affected by light or sun, as is the case when glass bottles are used.

How do I use Sweat Guard Antiperspirant?

  • To ensure the full effect and prevent skin irritation, the skin should be dry when applying Sweat Guard Antiperspirant. Wash skin at the site of application and dry well with a towel. Let the skin air-dry.
  • Freshly shaven skin is easily irritated. It would be best if you did not shave the affected area for 24 hours before the application of Sweat Guard.
  • Apply Sweat Guard onto the skin an hour before bed, and let dry for a few minutes.
  • It is usually sufficient to re-apply Sweat Guard once a week. Test different application intervals to find one that suits you.
  • You should initially apply Sweat Guard more often to achieve a lasting effect. After this initial period, re-applying once a week will usually be sufficient.

What are the ingredients in Sweat Guard Antiperspirant?

Active ingredient: 20% aluminum chloride hexahydrate. Other ingredients: Water, Ethyl Alcohol, Glycerin, and Propylene Glycol.

Why is it recommended to apply Sweat Guard at night?

During the night, the sweat glands are less active while you rest. This allows Sweat Guard the time it needs to establish its effect on the sweat gland before you awake and begin your day.

Will Sweat Guard wash off when I shower or swim?

Sweat Guard will not and cannot wash off in the shower or the pool. You can wash it as usual. Applying it at bedtime takes hours to form its antiperspirant effect in your sweat glands. Your sweat glands are less active at night, which enables the antiperspirant effect for about 6.5 days. Then the effect will lessen, and you will sweat again. When you feel you are sweating again, you can reapply it for protection against sweat.

Is it safe to use an antiperspirant with a high concentration of Aluminum Chloride?

Aluminum Chloride is the active ingredient in most antiperspirants. All studies have shown no scientific evidence that Aluminum Chloride threatens human health.

Can I use Sweat Guard on my Smelly Feet?

Absolutely. Many people suffer from too much sweating on their feet, which causes terrible, embarrassing smells and discomfort. To use a sweat guard on your feet, please wash and dry them before going to bed, and then apply the sweat guard on the feet until the affected areas are covered with the sweat guard solution.

Why do I sweat a lot on my armpits?

The armpits or the underarms areas contain hundreds of sweat glands, which help control our body temperature and expel toxins through perspiration. Excessive underarm sweating is usually the most common type of excessive sweating other than hand or palm-sweating, feet sweating, back sweating, or facial sweating. Excessive underarm sweating is incredibly embarrassing for professionals in their work environments, as it reflects poor hygiene by the person sweating a lot on the underarms area. That’s why if you have excessive underarms sweating and your armpits are always wet and showing wetness through your clothes, you must take care of this problem by using a solid antiperspirant that will help stop the sweat for an extended period of days.

How long will each sweat guard bottle last?

This will depend on how much and often you use Sweat Guard Antiperspirant. Most of our customers tell us that the bottle usually lasts about two months with daily use.
