UlcerMagic Liquid for Mouth Ulcers and Canker Sores

UlcerMagic is a liquid for mouth ulcers (canker sores) inside the mouth. One application relieves the pain of the ulcer in seconds and forms a protective layer over it while the mouth heals naturally. Each ulcer is treated once only.

In the pack

2 small bottles of 0.25 ml, 4 cotton swabs and a leaflet. One swab dries the ulcer, another applies the liquid. A soaked swab carries enough liquid for one typical mouth ulcer.

How to use

1. Dry the ulcer with one of the cotton swabs from the pack.
2. Open a bottle and dip a second swab into it for at least 10 seconds, until the tip is fully covered.
3. Hold the swab on the ulcer for 10 seconds, using a rolling motion to cover the whole ulcer. Keep it on the ulcer only.
4. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with water and spit it out.

A brief sting is normal, and the pain then eases within seconds. The treated ulcer may turn white: this is the protective layer. Do not apply it again to the same ulcer.

Ingredients

Active ingredient: sulphuric acid 26%. Other ingredients: hydroxybenzene sulphonic acid, hydroxymethoxybenzene sulphonic acid, water, FD&C Red 40.

Before you use it

• Do not use if you are allergic to sulphur in any form.
• Do not use during pregnancy or on children under 12.
• For mouth ulcers inside the mouth only. Do not use on cold sores, or on blisters in the mouth or on the lips.
• Do not swallow the liquid: it may be harmful if swallowed. If it is swallowed, do not induce vomiting and get medical help straight away.
• If it gets into the eyes, remove any contact lenses, rinse the eyes with water for at least 15 minutes and get medical advice straight away.
• It may cause local irritation or mild swelling. If the irritation is strong, rinse your mouth with plenty of water; if it continues, see your doctor or dentist.
• Keep out of the reach and sight of children, and away from clothing, which it can stain. Store in a dry place below 30 °C.

When to see a doctor or dentist

If an ulcer lasts more than 3 weeks, keeps coming back, is larger than usual or near the back of the throat, or bleeds or becomes more painful and red.
